Sungai Klah Hot Spring

Sunday, June 15th, 2008

Sorry for this late post. Im just pretty busy nowadays. During the last school holiday, my family and I went to Kuala Lumpur. On the way to KL, we decided to take a short break at the Sungai Klah Hot Spring. Natural hot springs are a common occurrence in Peninsular Malaysia. This phenomenon occurs when water that seeps into the Earth is heated by magma; molten rock located beneath the surface of the Earth. The Earth’s pressure then causes the water to again rise above the surface, forming a natural hot spring. A splashing and exciting getaway, the FELDA Residence Hot Springs is nestled in the serene and lush forest patches, surrounded by hills and clear cold mountain streams and rivers. All 6.5 hectares enjoy the scenic view of well-tended oil palm plantation and durian orchard amidst a haven of tranquility. We depart from our home at 8.00AM and reach at the hot spring at about 11.00AM.

The ticket price:
Adult/Dewasa : RM10.00
Kanak2/Children: RM8.00
Senior Citizen/Warga Emas: RM7.00
OKU/Disabled: RM2.00

Operation Time/Waktu Operasi: 8.00AM-10.00PM

Before we jump straight into the hot spring, we decided to have lunch first. Im sorry because i only remembered to take the photo of our lunch AFTER we ate them. We ate chicken chop, if you can’t guess from the photo. Then we went to check out their toilet and other facilities. I got to tell you, their toilet was well maintained and clean ! Congrats to them. Lifeguard and security personnel was everywhere to maintain the place. At about 2.00PM we continue our journey to KL. Well thats it for now. I’ll write about my holiday at KL some other time. Enjoy~

Sungai Klah Hot Spring

If you are looking for a unique holiday with your family, try this park and you will be fascinated with the facilities provided here. This place was built at a cost of RM6 million and was opened in December 2003. It is reputed to be one of the best managed hot spring in Malaysia and is located 200 feet above the sea level at the foothill of the Titiwangsa Range, the backbone range of Peninsular Malaysia. Once you arrive here, you will be amazed by the lush greeneries, hills, streams and rivers that abounds in the vicinity.

The hot spring is one of the other alternative to modern day spa centres. Spas have become one of the attractions in many hotels and resorts in this region. Many believed that the natural springs have healing properties that will help to heal and detoxify toxic from your body. Those with stiff muscles, stiff joints, rheumatism, spinal injuries, insomnia and skin related problems should consider soaking themselves here.

Boling Padang (Lawn Bowl) Stadium Indera Mulia Ipoh

Sunday, June 8th, 2008

Saturday, 19-Apr-2008,
Kitorang makan roti canai 10 keping. Seperti biasa, member aku Azim belanja kitorang semua.

Michaelian Dance Competition 2008

Sunday, June 8th, 2008

Michaelian Aerobic and Dance Society held a Michaelian Dance Competition 2008 on 22-March-2008 which was today, the day i wrote this blog. It was held at the St Michael Institution Ipoh’s school Hall at 9.00AM. I reached there at about 8.30AM to give some support and ideas to my competing friends. They named their group the Raver Klowns. What kind of dance that they did you ask ? Well they are SHUFFLERS. Nope, not Malaysian Style but Melbourne Shuffle style. So, my friends, Fariq, Asyraf, Syahrul and I enters the hall at about 9.00AM but the event only starts at 9.30AM.. piff~

Some of the participating groups that i can recall:
- Raver Klowns
- Nirvana
- Funky Chocolate
- Miracle
- Reflected Pain

These groups have to pass three stage:

1st stage - The Audition
2nd Stage - The Semi Finals
3rd stage- The Finals

Anyhow there seems to be some complication because there were two teams that was equally good and both have the same number of votes.
So they battle it out . The teams are : Miracle VS Funky Chocolate. The song was chosen by the judges. Luckily both of these groups shares the same dance that is Breakdance and Hip-Hop. Somehow the group MIRACLE won and Funky Chocolate was served :P

THE FINAL RESULTS:

1st - Reflected Pain
2nd - Raver Klownz
3rd - Nirvana
4th - Miracle
5th - Funky Chocolate

St Michael Institution Ipoh - 2008 Sports Day

Sunday, June 8th, 2008

On 19-March-2008,Wednesday. St Michael Institution Ipoh, which by the way, is my school, had their Annual Sports Day. I reached there at about 7.00AM. It was quite chilly and the sky was still dark. Once i reached the school, i didn’t went inside the school yet because there were PREFECTS standing at the entrance of the school, waiting to SPOT-CHECK the unfortunate students’ bag. I brought with me a BillaBong bag on that day. Inside were my water bottle, blue Wild Channel hoodie, Nokia 3200 and a 7 Megapixel BenQ camera. It was almost 7.30AM, which is the time for students to line up for the morning assembly and the time for teachers to mark the attendance of students. PREFECTS at that time won’t spot-check students anymore because if they do, they will have to face the principal for making the students late for assembly (HaHaHa). So that time was a safe time for me to go inside the school compound :-) and meet my friend inside at the class 5sc4 (Yeah I’m a science student).

My class teacher, Puan Hamesah asked me why i brought bag to school because the principal have actually told us the day before, not to bring any bag because there will be no one to take care of our bags when we went for the march pass. Well this is what i responded to her dengan selambanyer - “Sebab saya bawak kamera ngan handphone hari ni” . My class teacher responded: “Ohh, kalau hilang sendiri tanggung yer…. ” . Haha yeah my cikgu memang supporting :) … Actually i brought the camera to school to take some photos of my friends and teachers because this year is going to be the final year I’m at that school. Oh yeah and also to capture some videos for my shuffler friends you can watch it HERE. Well at the end of the day, everything went well, no riot, no fighting, everything ends perfecly normal…. Oh yeah and the overall winnder title for the year 2008 belongs to the house Patrick the one with the green flag. Whats the prize that they had won ? Well don’t ask me because i didn’t won :P You can ask the member named Tokan-Pailang at our forum because their class won for the march pass :) Here’s some photos that i had captured using my 7 Megapixel BenQ camera… ive made a video from them.. enjoy~
